Transportation Services

NassauTRANSIT provides four transportation services to residents of Nassau County, Florida.

 

Para-transit Program

This program was established to provide transit services to the elderly, disabled, economically disadvantaged, children at risk and individuals who have no other means of transportation. Those who register for this program can schedule door-to-door rides in advance.

Public Transportation Program

The Public Transportation Program is open to the general public. No application is required. Simply catch the bus at one of the eight stops listed on the 'About Us' page. To view the bus schedules, please click the links below.

Public Transportation Partners Program

NassauTRANSIT’s Public Transportation Partners Program provides bus vouchers to clients of the Salvation Army Hope House, Barnabas Center, Baptist Medical Center Nassau and Family Support Services of North Florida. Bus vouchers, issued by Transportation Partners for use by their clients, cover both Public Riders who simply “catch the bus” and Registered Riders who are qualified to schedule rides in advance. Nassau County Emergency Management Special Medical Needs Evacuation Program

In the event an evacuation order is issued by Nassau County Emergency Management, NassauTRANSIT provides emergency transport for the ill, those who are housebound or confined to a wheelchair, or suffer from a disability that prevents them from driving. Individuals will be picked up at their residence and brought to the Nassau County Council on Aging where Nassau County School District buses will transport them to evacuation centers.
Nassau County residents must meet specific requirements as well as register with Nassau County Emergency Management to be eligible for this program. (Learn more...)
