The Island Hopper is a public bus service for locals, tourists and anyone who just wants to get around Amelia Island safely, comfortably and cheaply. The service will run five days a week – THURSDAY THROUGH MONDAY - including holidays. The bus will make six “loops” around the northern half of Amelia Island.
The fare to ride the Island Hopper is $1.
The loops will depart from Fernandina Beach City Hall at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Each loop will arrive back at City Hall one hour after departure. In between the scheduled stops, the Island Hopper will pull over and stop upon passenger request if it is safe to do so.
